Chris T. Christ is an attorney and shareholder of the Firm. He was born in 1929 in Battle Creek, Michigan, and received his A.B. summa cum laude, from Albion College in 1951. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan in 1954 and joined the Firm in 1959.

Chris, who began his career as a trial lawyer and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, has progressed to a nationally-known practice that concentrates in the areas of professional corporations, probate and trust administration and estate and tax planning.

Chris is a member of the American Bar Association and the Michigan Bar Association, participating on the Ethics Committee and the Probate and Estate Planning Law Section. He is a member and past President of the Calhoun County Bar Association, currently serving as Chair of the Grievance Committee. He is Chairperson of the Attorney Discipline Board Hearing Panel, and a Fellow with the Michigan State Bar Foundation.

Chris has been active as a member of many organizations, presently serving as a Director of the Calhoun County Health Improvement Association and Co-Chair and Director of the Battle Creek Senior Residence Center known as NorthPointe Woods. He is an Honorary member of the Board of Trustees of Albion College and is a former Trustee of the Battle Creek Health System and Battle Creek Community Foundation. Chris is a Trustee of the Binda Foundation, Trustee and former Chair of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and Board Member of the Community Prayer Breakfast. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Battle Creek Gas Company. In May,1997 he was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws by Albion College.

Chris and his wife, Betty, who is also active in volunteerism and involved in several community projects in her own right, have served the Battle Creek area while raising a family that now includes three adult children and four grandchildren.
